EDGARD — An Edgard man is wanted by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to comply with his sex offender registration.

Jarriod Fiffie, 32, of Edgard is wanted for not staying in compliance with sex offender registration requirements.

“(Fiffie) failed to meet with deputies on May 23 for his annual sex offender registration to update his information,” a release from the Sheriff’s Office said. “Deputies’ attempts to contact Fiffie prior to the scheduled meeting and since then have been unsuccessful.”

Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Fiffie on June 11, and authorities believe Fiffie may be in the New Orleans metro area.

Fiffie was arrested in July 2011 for carnal knowledge of a juvenile and in April 2013 for not complying with his sex offender status.

Sgt. Dane Clement said at this time Fiffie is only being sought for failure to register.
