Marie “Celeste” Louviere, 59, was called Home to her Heavenly Father on Oct. 8, 2014, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.

She was a native of Reserve and a resident of Paulina.

Celeste was born Dec. 3, 1954, in Reserve, to Audrey Granier Guidry and Julian “CooCoon” Guidry Sr.

She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Morris Louviere; her children: Nicole Borne Jouty (Jeremy), Raymond Borne, III (Jessica), Jenny Louviere Deroche (Clif), Marty Louviere (Tisha), Meredith Louviere LeBlanc (Len); 12 precious grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally and in her eyes gave life meaning and purpose; her parents; brother Julian Guidry Jr.; Sue Camille Bertrand and Deborah Borne.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Maruice “Boomba” Guidry.

Celeste was a loyal employee of Robert Sunshine for eight years as manager of Golden Grove Casino in Gramercy.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St. in Paulina, on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 to 11:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon and burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Bereavement will follow in St. Peter Chanel gym.
