RESERVE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District, along with Renaissance Learning, honored the top readers in the district at the Oct. 2 school board meeting.

Jy’Lashia Love, a third-grader at Emily C. Watkins Elementary School, was the top reader in kindergarten through third grade.

Rai’Von Gales, a fourth-grader at Fifth Ward Elementary School, was the top reader in fourth through fifth grade.

G’Hara Haynes, an eighth-grader at LaPlace Elementary School, was the top reader in sixth through eighth grade.
