LAPLACE — The administration, faculty and staff at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School were called out by St. Clement of Rome Catholic School to participate in the ALS Ice Water Challenge recently.

Principal Jeffrey Montz and members of the faculty and staff accepted the challenge and raised over $900 through donations, which will be donated to Steve Gleason’s No White Flags fund.

Before dismissal, the student body witnessed the buckets of ice water being dumped on all participants. Some students had the pleasure of dumping the buckets themselves.

Montz challenged the other Catholic schools in the deanery to accept the challenge, as well.
