R. J. Vial Elementary School leaders say they know it takes the commitment of each and every individual to make the best team, including each bus driver, administrator, faculty member and member of the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Transportation Department.

Recently, these individuals met to discuss the importance of the Peaceful School Bus Program, designed to create a climate of safety, respect and cooperation on the bus by building strong relationships among students and bus drivers. At the meeting, bus drivers gained an understanding of the program’s main components and goals.

Effective communication between all stakeholders — bus drivers, students, parents, administration, school staff members and transportation members is key to the success of the program.

Support from all stakeholders is a crucial component of the Peaceful School Bus Program, and R. J. Vial is excited to have the support of all essential team members.
