LUTCHER — Dr. Jake Cavanaugh, new audiologist on staff at St. James Parish Hospital, will be a guest speaker at the hospital’s upcoming Diabetic Support Group Meeting Aug. 26.

St. James Parish Hospital hosts monthly, free Diabetic Support Group Meetings at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month in the Hospital Meeting Room to offer education and peer-to-peer support for diabetics and family members of diabetics.

The upcoming meeting will serve as a meet and greet with Cavanaugh, who has an independent Audiology Clinic in the medical plaza located on the same campus as St. James Parish Hospital. 

Cavanaugh sees patients with hearing and balance disorders. He offers hearing testing, hearing aids, custom hearing protection, shooters hearing protection, swim molds and BPPV (vertigo) treatment. 

Cavanaugh sees patients in Lutcher every other Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 337-528-7842 for an appointment.
