St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Office Sgt. Mike Hoover was named the 2014 D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year for Louisiana. The presentation was made at the recent Louisiana D.A.R.E. State Convention in Pineville. Hoover has been a St. John Parish D.A.R.E. Officer since 1992 and has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 1990.
