Salvadore “Sam” Miano Jr., age 94, was born on March 23, 1920, and passed away on July 24, 2014.

He was a native and resident of Garyville.

He is survived by his son, Robert Miano and wife, Beverly and his daughter, Frances Troxler and husband, Edwin.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Melanie LeBoeuf and husband, Armand; John Troxler and wife, Rachael; and Angela Hilton and husband, Stanley, as well as his great-grandchildren: Austin Troxler, and Madison and Maxwell Hilton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores St. Pierre James; parents Salvadore Sr. and Francesca Candela Miano; brothers Joseph, Paul, William, Frank, Tony and Victor Miano and sisters Margaret Tridico, Josephine Savana and Antonia Tusa.

Visitation was held Saturday, July 26, 2014, at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Garyville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.

Burial was in St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery in Reserve.

Rose Lynn Funeral Services in Lutcher was in charge of the arrangements.
