RESERVE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District has launched the SJBP App, a free mobile district application that brings vital district and school information directly to smartphones and mobile devices.
SJBP keeps the St. John the Baptist Parish community members connected wherever they are.
The app offers mobile access to district news, calendar, schedules, staff directory and more.
It also provides one-touch access to district and school information, as well as third-party applications such as social media feeds.
Parents and students can download the application for free through the Apple iTunes and Google Play app stores.
Developed by Blackboard Inc., the app is also expected to be popular with alumni, incoming students and other members of the St. John the Baptist Parish community.
“We want to offer our students and other members of our community the best in technology and access, and that means making St. John the Baptist Parish Schools services and information available to mobile users,” said Bonnie Dinvaut, coordinator of educational technology.
“We’re excited to have a partner in Blackboard that really understands the possibilities for mobile applications in K-12 education, making it easier for district and community stakeholders to stay connected and engaged.”
SJBP is available free on Android and Apple iOS devices.
