Post 383 LaPlace Commander Dave Gatt attended the Veterans Appreciation Luncheon last week.

Post leaders reported it was an honor for the members of American Legion Post 383 in LaPlace to attend the Veterans Appreciation Luncheon at the Armory in Reserve on July 3.

Hundreds of veterans attended and were honored by the community.

Gatt was given the privilege of introducing each of the five branches of the military songs, while including the history and origin if each musical theme.
