At approximately 5 a.m., authorities responded to a call of a shooting on Kennedy Street in St. Rose. When they arrived to the scene, authorities found 21-year-old Richard A. Bailey of 1220 Adams St. in New Orleans. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Capt. Patrick Yoes said it appears from the investigation several people made arrangements to purchase drugs on Kennedy Street in St. Rose Monday morning.
He said it is not clear at this time whether Bailey was in the parish to purchase or sell the drugs.
