Bayouland Special Olympics slated for July
The Bayouland Special Olympics summer sports program Camp Shriver open to all ages with disabilities will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 1-3 at Ethel Schoeffner Middle School in Destrehan. Hunting classes in focus for St. Charles Parish
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is teaching Hunter Education Classes (Field Day Only). The one-day courses will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 12, 26, Aug. 9 and 16 for individuals that have taken the course on line with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. State Law requires all individuals born on or after Sept. 1, 1969, to obtain a hunting license prior to hunting in Louisiana. Individuals must be 10 or older to be certified.
Vacation Bible School set for July 14-18

Football camp takes the field in mid-july
The SCC Youth Football Camp will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 14-17 for 7- to 13-year-old boys. The cost for football camp is $100 and registration will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. July 14. For more information, call 985-652-3029 or 505-915-0374.

Vacation Bible school plammed Aug. 4-8
Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church, 200 W. Third St. in Edgard, is hosting a vacation Bible school at 4 p.m. nightly from Aug. 4-8 that is open to all ages.
