Greg R. Hines passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

Hines was the beloved husband of Lynn Crochet Hines for the past 12 years; loving stepfather of Julie Martin and Brad Martin (Jessica) and grandfather of Connor Martin; son of the late Percy J. Hines Sr. and Gloria Arthur Hines; brother of Roger Hines and Percy J. Hines Jr.; and uncle of Jared Hines, Kristopher Hines, Amy Dayse and Sharla Brooks.

He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Hines, 56, was a native of Baton Rouge and a longtime resident of LaPlace. He was a member of Reserve Christian Church for many years. He retired from Hertz Corporation after 25 years of service.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 1101 Belle Alliance Dr. (at the corner of Madewood Road) in LaPlace on Wednesday, June 18.

Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m., and the service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Adam S. Martin Memorial Fund at First National Bank USA, 377 Belle Terre Blvd., LaPlace, LA would be appreciated. Arrangements are being handled by Neptune Society of New Orleans in Kenner.
