Lillian LeJeune Kolman, 90, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

She was a native of Belle Chase and a resident of Gramercy for over 60 years. She was a proud graduate of Louisiana State University, majoring in home economics and science, and later became a respected teacher in the River Parish area for over 25 years in the public and private sectors.

As a devout member of the Lutcher United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star #141, United Methodist Women’s League, Lutcher Senior Citizen Center and VFW Auxiliary Post 5852, her charm and charisma were admired and cherished by all in the communities in which she invested her time.

Lillian is survived by her son, Christopher Kolman and friend of the family, Jim Rooker; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Michael Cromer; three grandchildren, Nicole Cromer, Erin Cromer, Jessica Samrow and her husband Bentley Samrow; and two great grandchildren, Colin and Isabel Samrow.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Armand K. Kolman; parents, John E. LeJeune Sr. and Mary Edna Wynne, and a brother, Johnny LeJeune, Jr.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 16, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave. in Lutcher.

Visitation will resume on Tuesday, June 17, at the funeral home from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by religious services at Lutcher United Methodist Church, 2347 Texas Street in Lutcher.

Burial will follow in the Hook and Ladder Cemetery in Gretna.
