Hit-and-run suspect with Ohio license plate sought

LULING — St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver of a Subaru suspected of involvement in a hit and run Thursday night on Airline Highway.

Three women were traveling eastbound in the right lane on the Spillway Bridge at 8:45 p.m. Thursday when a vehicle traveling in the same lane struck their vehicle from the rear.

The vehicle stopped approximately a half mile from the point of impact.

The victims were able to follow the subject, at which time the subject exited the vehicle, walked to the victims’ vehicle’s passenger-side door. The suspect allegedly looked at the victims before authorities said the subject then ran back to her vehicle and sped off traveling eastbound on Airline Highway.

The three victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and released.

The perpetrator is described as a white female with a slim build between 100 and 110 pounds and between 5’4″ and 5’7″ inches tall. She was wearing a brown shirt and dark-colored jeans at the time of the wreck.

Her vehicle is described as a black Subaru with an Ohio License Plate – GAK6467 with moderate to heavy damage on the right-passenger side.
