Destrehan junior Ashlyn Frahm was chosen to participate in the 2014 Minority Introduction to Engineering & Science (MITES) Program this summer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ashlyn is one of 80 students selected from a pool of over 1,600 applicants.

She will receive a scholarship for this six-week program and will study a variety of courses in science, technology, engineering and math.
