LAPLACE — A reserve man was arrested after authorities say he assaulted a woman and later shot at a moving vehicle.

St John Parish Sheriff’s deputies began their case after responding to a shooting complaint Monday.

“The victim stated that Cordan Duhe had beat her up in another parish, then while driving home to St. John Parish, he followed her and pulled along side the victim’s vehicle and fired a single gunshot, striking the victim’s vehicle,” a release from the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities said they located Duhe, 23, of 124 E 24th St. in Reserve, who was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.

Duhe was later booked additionally on two outstanding warrants in St John Parish and as a fugitive from St James Parish.

Duhe was also under current/active probation with the Louisiana Department of Corrections Probation and Parole.

His bond was set at $150,450, and he is currently incarcerated in parish prison.
