LAPLACE — The public is invited to attend a free breakfast Friday morning honoring area veterans.

The 16th annual Get High on Life Memorial Day Breakfast starts at 8 a.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 346 Fir St. in LaPlace.

“We will pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country and defended the many freedoms which we enjoy,” organizer the Rev. Harold Keller said.

“Special emphasis will be placed on remembering those who gave their lives while fighting to keep our country free.”

All members of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign War and the public are encouraged to attend with their families.
