4 arrested, pot plants seized from Linwood Drive home

LAPLACE — Authorities recovered marijuana plants, pills and made four arrests Monday following a call for service in LaPlace.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence at 2:21 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Linwood Drive and saw marijuana plants in the residence, authorities said.
“Investigators notified narcotics detectives, who obtained a search warrant for the residence,” a release said. “Upon a search of the residence, narcotics detectives recovered three marijuana plants, 1.3 grams of marijuana, 16 Alprazolam pills and drug paraphernalia.”
Narcotics detectives arrested the following individuals:
• Karen P. Cox, 38, Linwood Drive, LaPlace, was arrested and booked with possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts), possession of marijuana (five counts), and distribution/manufacture of schedule III CDS.
Karen Cox bonded out of jail.
• James Cox, 23, Linwood Drive, LaPlace, was arrested and booked with possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts), possession of marijuana (five counts) and distribution/manufacture of schedule III CDS.
James Cox remains in custody in lieu of a $14,000 bond.
• Daishawn J. Cox, 20, Linwood Drive, LaPlace, was arrested and booked with possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts), possession of marijuana (five counts), and distribution/manufacture of schedule III CDS.
Daishawn J. Cox remains in custody in lieu of a $14,000 bond.
• The 16-year-old juvenile of Linwood Drive in LaPlace was arrested and booked with possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts), possession of marijuana (five counts), and distribution/manufacture of schedule III CDS.
The juvenile was released to the mother.
