On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Commander Ray Bass of the VFW Post 3337 of LaPlace, recognized two teachers from Our Lady of Grace School, Ms. Paula Jones-1st grade teacher; Ms. Deborah Falls-KN Teacher.

They were recognize and applauded for their outstanding service and devotion to the children of our community. The teachers were nominated to receive the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award.

This award is open to any nominated teacher who instills a sense of pride in students, who care about America and its children, and is concerned about the perpetuation of America’s noblest traditions and highest ideals. These teachers were selected for this honor and will represent St. John Parish VFW Post 3337 in the National competition.

We congratulate Ms. Paula Jones and Ms. Deborah Falls, two of Our Lady of Grace School finest teachers.
