Lynleigh Landry, a 2014 senior at St. Charles Catholic High School, was awarded the Catholic Youth Leadership Award by the Knights of Columbus Red Church Council #3634 based on her application in the areas of scholastic achievement and contributions to her church parish, to St. Charles Catholic and in her community.

The award granted her a $250 scholarship, and Landry’s CYLA application advanced to an area competition where her resume competed against 33 other Knights of Columbus Councils.

Landry was selected as Area A winner at the area competition and was awarded an additional $500 scholarship.

At the state level, Landry was selected as one of the girl state winners and was awarded an additional $2,000 scholarship.

In all, her total scholarship award for the Knights of Columbus Catholic Youth Leadership Award is $2,750. The Catholic Youth Leadership award is an opportunity for the youth of Louisiana to be recognized as outstanding Catholic leaders.
