RESERVE – Reserve Tele phone Communications’ phenomenal growth in the River Region and now into surrounding areas, with expansion most recently announced into northern Lafourche Parish, means that the larger company needed a larger building.

RTC grew out of the West Fourth Street office building in Reserve that it had been housed in since 1953 and recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Reserve Business Office, located at 105 RTC Drive.

“We’re proud of what we’ve got here,” said RTC’s President and CEO William Ironside at the ceremony.

He said the company will turn 80 next year, and it has come a long way from servicing just Reserve and Garyville. He said RTC would continue to “grow reasonably and logically.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by River Region Chamber of Commerce members and officials, Business 2 Business referral group colleagues and several local elected officials.

RTC officially moved into the new 12,500-square-foot building in January. The larger complex combines the operations of the headquarters and a warehouse.

Vice President of Finance Annette Faircloth said the new building provides a more central location that is easier for training and other operations.
