St. Charles Catholic continued its roll this season, besting Riverside and Lutcher in a nine-hole golf match at Belle Terre Country Club.

SCC posted a score of 180 to come out on top. Lutcher posted a score of 206 and Riverside one of 209.

Riverside’s Deuce Wallace shot the lowest score of the match at 42. Teammates Payton Jacob (53), Elliott Veron (56) and Buddy Duhe (58) rounded out Rebel scorers.

“Deuce was hitting the ball great from tee to green but was having trouble with his putting.’

“He was disappointed with his score of 42 today because he has been posting scores between 36 and 39 in the matches we have played this year,” said Rebels coach Roy Aubert.

The Rebels will travel to Cypress Lakes to play Destrehan next before their district tournament, which will be played at Squirrel Run golf club in New Iberia on April 22.

SCC was led by Cameron Torres’ score of 43. He was followed by Emile Cupit (44),  Jacob Jensen (46) and Dalton Landry (47), rounding out another balanced Comets’ effort.

Nic Remondet posted a score of 46 to lead the Lutcher Bulldogs. Ryder Cantillo (46) shot 46 and Josh Berthelot and Mason Lambert each posted scores of 57.
