LAPLACE – Last night at approximately 10 p.m., Devin Dwayne Donald was arrested in St. John the Baptist Parish. He is being held on outstanding attachments at the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office at this time. He will then be transported to St. Charles Parish on the charge of attempted kidnapping.

On April 12, a 17-year-old female reported that she was forced into a car while she was waiting outside for her ride to pick her up from a nail salon located at 13491 US 90 in Boutte.

The victim reported the subject, armed with a handgun, got out of his vehicle, grabbed her and forced her into the passenger seat of his car. The victim was able to escape and run to a nearby gas station. She later reported the incident to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Based on information developed during the investigation, the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Donald.
