LAPLACE – The Department of Human Resources’ Elderly Program of St. James Parish will host the Bayou-River District Senior Olympics on Tuesday, April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Paulina Park.

The games, which are open to participants 50-years-old and up, will feature competitions in football accuracy, softball accuracy, softball distance and a one-mile walk.

Registration is required for participation and gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded at the games. Lunch will be served at the event.
