LAPLACE – In just four hours, 421 non-perishable food items were collected at the LaPlace Winn Dixie in a food drive organized by the Angotti family of Montz.

Bella Grace Angotti, at just 13-months-old, is already becoming quite the philanthropist. She currently holds two “for-a-cause” beauty pageant titles, reigning as the 2014 St. Landry Parish Miss Heart of the USA Baby Miss Queen and the 2014 Tiny Tot Queen of Hope.

The March 15 food drive was organized by her parents in connection to the Baby Miss Queen title she won in December 2013. Miss Heart of the USA is a national pageant focusing on teaching young ladies the importance of giving back to their community.

Bella Grace is the daughter John and Jamie Angotti. Jamie said several fundraisers are in the works, including an upcoming American Heart Association Walk and an upcoming park cleanup day in St. Charles Parish on April 26 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The cleanup, titled “Operation Spring into Action” will focus on cleaning the Montz Park, 100 Calcagno St. The community is invited to participate.

Anyone interested in donating food, which is all donated to local charities, or learning more about upcoming fundraising events can contact Jamie at 985-212-4453 or at jamieangotti@gmail.com
