NORCO – Local veterans were once again treated to a day of camaraderie and nostalgia as radio-controlled airplane enthusiast gathered at the Bonnet Carre Spillway to show off their aircraft as well as their flying prowess.

Although the skies were gray, the rain held out as spectators, both military and civilian, watched the fourth annual show.

While watching the aerial acrobatics, veterans were treated to a free lunch, with the Jefferson Parish Young Marines standing by to bring the veterans their plates and help out in any other ways needed.

As usual, the two-hour event ended with a candy drop from the largest plane of the bunch, emblazoned with the Jacob’s Andouille logo across its massive wingspan.
