LAPLACE – Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services will host its fourth annual charity golf tournament to benefit Combat Marine Outdoors on Friday, April 4. Combat Marine Outdoors is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding in the rehabilitation of members of the American armed forces recovering from traumatic injuries sustained in combat.

Through the efforts of this organization, wounded servicemen are provided with the opportunity to go on outdoor adventures away from the confines of the hospital as their last step of rehabilitation before returning home.

Wayne Jones, a business representative with Brand, said it is an honor to help people who risk their lives to provide the freedoms Americans enjoy everyday.

“Anything we can do to help them, we will,” said Jones.

The golf tournament will be held at the Cypress Lake Country Club in Ormond Subdivision located in Destrehan.

Brand is still seeking hole sponsors for the event. Each hole sponsorship costs $100. Each hole sponsor will have the opportunity to display signage at the tournament and have representatives eat either lunch or dinner at the tournament.

The tournament will conclude with a 6 p.m. military ceremony and dinner honoring Linton Bergeron, a World War II Navy veteran from St. Charles Parish. Every year a different veteran from the River Parishes is honored.

For additional information about the tournament or hole sponsorships, contact Jones at 504-717-0489. More information about Combat Marines Outdoors can be found at www.combatmarineoutdoors.org.
