Fernande Cazenave Dufresne, 98, was born Sept. 7, 1915, and

passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014. She was a native of Edgard and a resident of

Hammond.  

She is survived by her children: Robert J. Dufresne Jr. of Gramercy,

Roland J. Dufresne of Destrehan, Jeffrey G. Dufresne of Vacherie, Phyllis D. Dufrene of Hammond, Judith D. Waddell of Hammond and Karen D. Govea of Slidell. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Robert Dufres-ne, and parents, Fernand Louis Cazenave and Laura Webre, as well as brothers and sisters: Adlai Cazenave, Robert Cazenave, Lucie C. Roussel, Roy Cazenave, Carmen C. Prestenbach and Lois C. Mahler.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon.
