Merkadell Cosey, 54, departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.

She was the wife of Chester Reese and mother of Kelly Cosey.

She is survived by siblings, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family and the community.

Funeral services were held at the New Rescue Mission B.C. in Reserve. Internment was at Zion Travelers Cemetery in Reserve. Pastor Devin Mason officiated. Professional service was entrusted to Hobson Brown Funeral Home of Garyville.
