LAPLACE – Residents of St. Charles Parish and anyone traveling around the parish need to note two different road construction projects that will affect traffic over the next few weeks.

One lane of River Road in St. Rose in front of International-Matex Tank Terminals will

be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily on March 11 and March 12 because of fence work in the area. A flagging operation will be present.

Additionally, there will alternating lane closures on Almedia Road in St. Rose from 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. daily from March 10 until March 15.

The closures are necessary for crews to mill, patch, pave and stripe the roadway. The

affected area will be from River Road to 400 feet north of the Canadian National Railroad.
