Sarah Gulich Burkhardt, 89, Brown died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.

She was the beloved wife of Jack Brown and mother of Rosalin Maturin, Stanley Burkhardt and Janet Homan. She also had six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She graduated as a RN from Bellevue General Hospital in Pittsburg, Pa., and was employed as an RN for 28 years at Southern Baptist Hospital. She was a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of LaPlace.

Visitation and services were held at the First United Methodist Church in LaPlace on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. Burial followed in Lakelawn Metairie Cemetery. Arrangements were by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
