St. John rabies vaccination day March 8

LAPLACE – The annual St. John Parish Animal Rabies Vaccination Campaign will be held on March 8.

There will be eight locations across St. John the Baptist Parish to which residents will be able to bring their pets.

In LaPlace, vaccinations will be available at Wayne Jacob’s Smokehouse from 8 a.m. until 8:50 a.m., at Super Foods Grocery from 9 a.m. until 9:20 a.m., at the entrance of River Forest Subdivision from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. and at the Capital One Bank on Airline Highway from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

In Reserve, vaccinations will be available at East St. John High School on Airline Highway from noon until 12:50 p.m.

In Garyville, vaccinations will be available at the Garyville Post Office from 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.

In Edgard, vaccinations will be available at Club Grocery from 2 p.m. until 2:20 p.m. and then at Duck’s Ice Inc. starting at 2:30 p.m.

The vaccination fee will be $8 per animal.

The vaccination campaign is sponsored by St. John Parish Health Unit and Riverlands Animal Hospital.
