Krewe of Allovus 2014

Joey M. Brady and Nicole Marie Klibert will reign as King and Queen Allovus XLIX during the annual ball Saturday, Feb. 22.
“Allovus’ Passport to Carnival” is the theme of the 49th consecutive ball, which will be held at St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace. The court is selected on the basis of their participation in the LARAYO organization and Krewe of Allovus.
Captain Allovus XLIX Michael C. Reine is married to the former Alisha Heltz. They have two children, Shelby and Macie. Reine has been a life-long member of the Larayo organization and is actively involved. He has been on the Larayo board of directors for 11 years and is currently vice president as well as the girls’ softball director. Reine was a duke in 2006 and King Allovus XLVII.
King Allovus XLIX Joey M. Brady, has been married to Lacie-Ann Millet for 26 years. They reside in Reserve along with their son, Benjamin J. Brady. Brady was captain of the Krewe of Allovus for the years XXXVIV (2004), XL (2005), XLI (2006), and XLII (2007). While serving on the LARAYO board for six years, he served as pool director, River Parish Swim League representative, and vice president. Brady is a high school science teacher with 27 years of teaching experience and teaches at Destrehan High School. In 2007, Brady was selected as Destrehan High School’s Teacher of the Year and was also selected as St. Charles Parish high school teacher of the year. He was selected Saints’ teacher of the week that same year. He presently coaches boys’ cross country and boys’ soccer and is the school’s district literary rally coordinator, as well as, Southeast LA Rally president. In his spare time he loves to sleep, fish, landscape and tutor.
Nicole Marie Klibert is the daughter of Kevin and Melissa Klibert of LaPlace. She is a sophomore at Northwestern State University majoring in health and exercise science with a concentration in physical therapy. Klibert is a member of the Presidential Leadership Program where she serves as a mentor to new students and the service chair. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity and is currently the 2014 president of the Northwestern State University College Panhellenic Council. In 2011, Klibert was a maid in the Krewe of Allovus XLVI. Her father was a Duke in the Krewe of Allovus XXXVI and her mother was a maid in the Krewe of Allovus XVII. Throughout her 15 years of involvement at Larayo, she played softball, worked in the concessions, was a lifeguard and swam for all 15 years. Her father, Kevin, was boy’s baseball director, grounds director, concession stand manager, pool director and boy’s baseball coach for 10 years.
Corey Michael Heltz is married to Stacy Mora Heltz of LaPlace. They have a daughter, Blakely, and a son, Hudson. Heltz is a territory sales representative for Lewis-Goetz. In his spare time, Heltz enjoys coaching, fishing, golfing, hunting, traveling and spending time with his family. Heltz has been involved in Larayo since he was young. He played sports at Larayo for 11 years during his childhood. Heltz has served as a coach for the past four years and was on the Larayo Board of Directors for a year. Heltz’s family has been very active in Allovus. His father, Gary Heltz, was a duke in 1988. His sisters, Wanda Heltz Cortez and Rachel Heltz Penn, were maids in 1989 and 1990, respectively.
Caroline Elizabeth Baer is the daughter of Tom and Joel’ Baer of Montz. Baer is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy where she is an honor student and a member of the Cross Country team, Student Council, National Honor Society and Teens for Life. Baer also serves as a Eucharistic Minister. Baer plans on continuing her education at LSU. Baer’s Larayo activities include nine years on the softball team, 12 years on the swim team and one year as a lifeguard. Tom coached girls’ softball for many years and served on the Larayo Board of Directors representing the girls’ softball league. Joel’ was a maid in the court of Allovus XX. Baer’s sister Ashlee was a maid in the court of Allovus XXXIX. Baer’s grandfather was King Allovus XIV.
Jeremy J. St. Pierre lives in LaPlace and is married to Melanie Madere St. Pierre. They have two children, Madison and Brady. St. Pierre is employed by Valero Energy at the Diamond Green Diesel facility and has been with Valero and predecessors for more than 15 years. He and his family have been members of Larayo for four years, and he has been coaching baseball and softball each of those years. He serves as the assistant baseball director on Larayo’s board and also currently serves on St. John United Way Board of Directors. He enjoys coaching and also enjoys golf when time permits.
Meredith Anne Keating is the daughter of Todd and Lori Keating of LaPlace. She is a freshman at Southeastern Louisiana University pursuing a degree in Communications and is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity. Keating has been a lifelong member of Larayo. She swam for 14 years, played softball for nine years, and was a lifeguard for three years. She is the current record holder in the girls 11-12, 50-yard freestyle for the River Parish Swim League. Her father has served as the board’s treasurer for the past 10 years and has coached baseball and softball. Her parents have volunteered with the swim team and invitational for the past 14 years. Her father, grandfather and aunt have been on past Allovus courts.
Lance James Bonadona is married to Andrea Yott Bonadona. Bonadona and Andrea have one 13-year-old daughter, Sophia. Lance has 14 years of experience as a mechanical engineer and is a partner in his firm. Bonadona’s hobbies include woodworking, fishing, golfing and snow skiing. The Bonadonas have been members of Larayo since 2004. They have been involved by assisting in the concession, preparing the park for ball season and assisting in coaching. The Bondonas have been members of the Krewe of Allovus for the past five years and have helped with decorating and clean up for the ball. Bonadona is also a member of the LaPlace Lions Club.
Paige Jeanne Ocmond is the daughter of Brandon and Christie Ocmond. Ocmond is a freshman at Nicholls State University studying nursing. At Larayo, she played softball for three years and swam
for nine years. Ocmond’s grandfather, Wilbert Ocmond Jr., was a duke in Allovus and served as captain of the Krewe of Allovus for two years.
Willie Monroe Arnett II and his wife Kelly Jones Arnett have three children, Ian, Adrienne and Emelyn. Arnett is employed at Marathon Petroleum. Arnett has been involved in Larayo for seven years. Arnett serves on the Larayo Board of Directors, coaches baseball and softball and oversees the grounds work crew for the ball fields. His wife, Kelly, coached the Larayo Barracudas for 10 years. Kelly served as Maid Allovus XXXI and Queen Allovus XXXIV.
Paige Catherine Williams, the daughter of Steven and Janelle Williams, is a junior at St. Charles Catholic High School. Williams’s family has been very active in the Larayo organization and the Allovus Krewe for many years. Steven was an assistant coach and has been on the Board of Directors for nine years. Both of Williams’s parents have been Allovus court members. Steven was Duke Allovus XLIII and Janelle was Maid Allovus XXIV. At Larayo, Williams played softball for nine years, was a member of the swim team for 11 years and worked as a life guard last year. At St. Charles, Williams is a member of the softball, swim and track teams and participates in the Science Club and FCA.
King Allovus XLVIII Stephen R. Cupit II is married to Julie Bourg Cupit. They have two children – Stephen R. Cupit III and Chelsie L. Cupit. Cupit has been employed at St. John Sheriff’s Office for the past 27 years and is positioned at the District Attorney’s Office as a DA investigator. The Cupits have been members of Larayo for the past 16 years and have been in charge of many committees. The Cupits have been in the Krewe of Allovus for the past 14 years. Stephen served as a duke in 2000 and was captain from 2007-10. His wife, Julie, served as secretary for the Krewe from 2010-13. His father, Stephen R. Cupit Sr., was a duke in 1975 (X), and was King Allovus in 1976 (XI). He also served as captain for one year.
Queen Allovus XLVIII Alicia Marie Guillot is the daughter of King Allovus XLV Mervin Guillot Jr. and Robin Guillot of Saint Amant. Guillot was also Maid Allovus XLVI. She is currently in nursing school at Southeastern Louisiana University where she is on the Dean’s List. Guillot is still dedicated to the Larayo organization.
