LAPLACE – Inclement weather has delayed the completion of the construction work on the intersection Belle Terre Boulevard and Airline Highway.

The Department of Transportation and Development will continue alternating northbound and southbound right lane closures through Friday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the intersection for roadway widening and construction of curb and gutter.  

One lane in each direction will be open at all times and reduced speed limits will be posted. Motorist may experience a 15-minute delay.

Please drive with caution through the work site and be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.

The project scope will include a double left turn lane from southbound Airline Highway to Belle Terre Boulevard and will include drainage work, widening of the existing roadway, construction of curb and gutter and a curbed median.
