St. John deputies seeking info on shooting

LAPLACE – With little information forthcoming from the victim and a witness, the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in a shooting investigation.
On Jan. 27 at 8:40 p.m. St. John Parish deputies responded to
the River Parishes Hospital Emergency Room for the report of a shooting victim that walked in the emergency room for treatment.
The 23-year-old male victim from LaPlace sustained a gunshot wound to the middle finger of his right hand. He was treated and transferred to another area hospital for additional treatment.
The victim and a witness, who drove the victim to the hospital, provided different information to investigators on how the shooting occurred.
