Laura MacKenzie Barrios, 65, was born June 8, 1948, and passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. She was a native of Rayne and a resident of Convent.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Barrios, brothers, Michael MacKenzie (Teri) and Stephen MacKenzie (Nan), and sisters, Deborah Welshons, Carol Wright (Walter) and Jeanne MacKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis MacKenzie and Jewel Link MacKenzie, and her brother-in-law, Kenny Welshons.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, followed by religious services in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Louisiana SPCA. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service. Rose Lynn Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.
