RESERVE – Students planning to enter the public school system in fifth or ninth grade during the 2014-2015 school year from private, parochial, or home schooling will be given the opportunity to take the state mandated LEAP test.

The spring test will be administered in two phases. Phase one will be held on March 18, and phase two will be held April 7-8.

The location and time for the LEAP test will be determined at a later date, and parents of registered students will be contacted prior to testing.

A $35 testing fee applies, and is payable by money order, cashiers check or credit or debit card. The fee is refundable if the student enrolls in St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools by Oct. 1.

A registration form may be picked up at the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board Office, 118 W. 10th St. in Reserve or at any St. John the Baptist Parish Library. The form can also be found on www.stjohn.k12.la.us.

The form and registration fee can be returned to Kim Scioneaux at the School Board Office beginning Monday, Feb. 3. The deadline to submit the form is March 7 at 4 p.m.
