Burglars invade Reserve home

RESERVE – The St. John

the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office needs the community’s help to solve a reported aggravated burglary that took place

early Saturday morning in Reserve.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Melius Drive after receiving a 1:49 a.m. report of two men with guns who forced their way into a residence.

Deputies spoke to the homeowner, who told deputies that when he answered a knock at the door, two men with guns forced their way into his house and ordered everyone present to hand over their money. The homeowner had approximately 18 guests at his home when the incident occurred.

The suspects fled from the residence in an unknown direction with cash taken from the houseguests. No one was injured.

Both of the suspects were dressed in all black clothing. One suspect was described as being approximately 5-foot-8 with a stocky build, and the other was described as being approximately 6-feet with a thin build and hair in long dreadlocks that went halfway down his back.
