CHARLOTTE PROFFITT-LAURY peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at her home in LaPlace, LA.  Daughter of the late Bertha T. Adams and Clarence E. Proffitt.  Step-Daughter of the late Walter E. Adams.  Eldest and loving sister to Ettalois Johnson of Houston, TX and Barbara Brady of Cheverly, MD.  Loving mother of Michael  Laury (deceased), Christopher Laury (deceased), David Laury of LaPlace, LA, and Patricia Laury of Chicago, IL.  She is survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,  other relatives and friends.  All are invited to attend the Memorial Service at First United Methodist Church of LaPlace, 301 Bamboo Rd, LaPlace, LA on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00am.  Family Visitation begins at 10:00am.
