HAHNVILLE – Because of construction of a new secure entrance at the St. Charles Parish Courthouse in Hahnville, the easternmost front building entrance near the Sheriff’s Office Tax Collector’s Office will be unavailable beginning Jan. 20.

Employees and members of the public wishing to access the courthouse will need to use adjacent entrances during construction.

Construction is expected to be completed by mid-May at the latest. Upon completion, public access

will be available through the easternmost front building entrance only.

The construction is

to accommodate new security measures that the parish Council voted to put in

place last year, including a ban of all cell phones in the parish courtrooms.
