With classes back in session on Jan. 6 for all St. Charles Parish schools, students bundled up and faced freezing temperatures as they made their way back into their classrooms to start the third quarter of the school year.

Ashley Michel, a fourth-grade teacher at Ethel Schoeffner Elementary in Destrehan, said she was very impressed with how hard working her students had been in the first half of the year.

“I anticipate continued growth for the upcoming quarter,” Michel said.
