The River Parishes Hospital Senior Friends members recently took a chartered bus trip to enjoy lunch at the Dinner Bell Restaurant in McComb, Miss., wine tasting at Amato’s Winery in Independence and shopping at the Antique Trade Day in Ponchatoula. Each member was invited to bring a guest to meet other members and learn about the benefits of becoming a member of the Senior Friends Program.

The chartered bus trips are just a few of the many activities available to seniors through the hospital’s Senior Friends Program. Members also receive discounts in the hospital cafeteria and gift shop, in the Fit At 50 exercise classes, and at several local businesses in the River Parishes area. In addition, members receive valuable health, wellness and travel discounts through the National Association of Senior Friends.
