Krewe du Monde 2014 court

William Ironside and Kelsey Tatje will share the spotlight as King and Queen du Monde XXXV in the River Parishes largest Carnival celebration in LaPlace.

The King and Queen and members of their royal court will be officially presented at the 35th Krewe du Monde Ball at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, at the St. John Community Center. Krewe du Monde “Attends a Monster’s Ball” is the theme. The parade rolls through LaPlace on Sunday, March 2, beginning at noon.

William Ironside is president and CEO of Reserve Telecommun-ications. Ironside and his wife Christine have been married for seven years and are avid dog lovers. Ironside also enjoys racing vintage sports cars.

Kelsey Tatje, the daughter of Kurt and Natalie Tatje, graduated from Cabrini High School in 2008 and from University of Louisiana Lafayette in 2012. Tatje served as a Maid in Krewe du Monde in 2007.

Pages to the King are Richard “Tripp” Klibert III, son of Ricky and Katie Klibert of LaPlace, and Haley Barrios, daughter of Jeep and Gina Barrios of LaPlace.  

Pages to the Queen are Jane Thomson, daughter of Ryan and Ashley Thomson of Lafayette, and Alexandra Rutledge, daughter of Guy and Rhonda Rutledge of LaPlace.

Duke Lance Oncale of Garyville and Maid Candace McGaff of LaPlace

Oncale is the manager of Fatty’s in LaPlace and is the son of Baba Oncale and the late Mickey Oncale. McGaff is a student at Delgado Community College and is pursuing a degree in public relations.

Duke Rusty Landeche of LaPlace and Maid Adrienne Ourso of Baton Rouge

Landeche is employed by BBP Sales Inc. as an outside industrial salesman. Landeche and his wife Connie have two children, Reid and Camile. Ourso, the daughter of Craig and Missie Ourso of Baton Rouge, is a student at Louisiana State University.

Duke Bryan Beadle of Garyville and Maid Brittany Prejean of Vacherie

Beadle is VP of Highlines Construction. Beadle and his wife Katie have four children, Haley, Laney, Kacey and Molly. Prejean, the daughter of Ed and Becky Wahden of Vacherie and Trey and Penny Prejean of Donaldsonville, works full time at Highlines Construction in Reserve and attends Nicholls State University.

Duke Chris Bardell of LaPlace and Maid Jaimaya Bolden of LaPlace

Bardell is the owner of several McDonalds in the surrounding area. Bardell and his wife Lentreise have two sons, Dylan and Kyle. Bolden, the daughter of Willie and Eldora Bolden, is a senior at Riverside Academy in Reserve.

Duke Michael Wright of LaPlace and Maid Katelyn Benedetto of Destrehan

Wright is a 2008 graduate of St. Charles High School and 2012

graduate of Southeastern Louis-

iana University. Benedetto, the daughter of Randal and Wendy, is a producer for Kelly Buckwalter Insurance.

Duke Brian Bertrand of LaPlace and Maid Raegan Labat of Gonzales

Bertrand has served with St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office for the past 16 years and is currently unit commander of the St. John Parish Young Marines. Bertrand and his wife Denise have two daughters, Amanda and Andrea. Labat, the daughter of Selena Bertrand Holder and Dana Labat, is currently studying studio art photography at Louisiana State University.

Captain John Guillot of LaPlace and Captain’s Lady Donna Guillot of LaPlace

John is Krewe du Monde’s Captain, and Donna is the Captain’s Lady. John has been involved with LaPlace Lions Club and Krewe du Monde since 2001. Guillot and his wife Donna have two daughters, Mary Terrell and Jeanne Guillot. Guillot is a work process specialist for Motiva.

Krewe du Monde was founded by the LaPlace Jaycees in 1974. The current Krewe du Monde activities are run by and for the benefit of the Lion’s Club of LaPlace. The krewe’s parade is the largest in the River Parishes.
