Stuart J. Torres, 71, died on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.

He was the beloved husband of Donna Andry Torres, father of Jason Torres (Andre) and the late Jeanne T. Guidry, grandfather of Amber Loupe, Ashley and Courtney Guidry and Aimée Torres, son of the late Clarence and Myrtle Rome Torres, brother of Lawrence Torres, Lois James, Gloria Loupe, Elaine Bergeron and Mary Ann Marse and the late Shirley, Warren Sr., Leonard and Clarence Torres.

He was a native of Garyville and a resident of LaPlace.

Visitation and services were held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in LaPlace on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. Burial

will be private at a

later date. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. Arrangements were by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
