Melvin “Tutty” W. Sutton II, 57, died on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014.

He was the beloved husband of Vickie Barney Sutton, father of Melvin “T.J.” Sutton III and Amber Sutton, stepfather of Louis Lankford, grandfather of Melvin Sutton IV, Ava Sutton and Carter Phan, son of the late Melvin and Viola English Sutton and brother of Paulette S. McGill (Arnold).

He retired from the St. John the Baptist Sheriffs Department after 34 years of service. He was a native and resident of Reserve.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery.
