The River Parishes Hospital Volunteers celebrated the holiday season with a luncheon in the River Parishes Hospital Medical Pavilion. Tammy Waltz, River Parishes Hospital community relations coordinator, welcomed everyone to the celebration and thanked them for their service to the hospital and its patients and guests. She opened the luncheon with a prayer to bless and watch over the group and keep them safe and healthy. The group then enjoyed a catered lunch by Wayne Jacob’s Smoke House. After lunch, they played several holiday games for prizes. Santa made a surprise visit, sang a few Christmas songs and distributed a gift to each volunteer.
