Queens of the Bonfires

The Festival of the Bonfires Committee presented the 24th annual Miss Festival of the Bonfires Pageant and 15th annual Teen Miss Festival of the Bonfires Pageant Nov. 30 at Lutcher High School, where everyone celebrated Sweet Holiday Treats.
Lindsay Dufresne of Gramercy was crowned Miss Festival of the Bonfires XXIV, and Sydney Poche of Paulina was crowned Teen Miss Festival of the Bonfires XV.
Dufresne, the 18-year-old daughter of David and Melissa Dufresne, is a senior at Lutcher High School. Dufresne also won the Photogenic and Fashion awards. Lindsay was also Teen Miss Festival of the Bonfires XII.
Other winners in the Miss division were Mary Lynn Detillier, First Maid, and Paige Bourgeois, People’s Choice Award and Miss Sparkler award voted by her fellow contestants.
Poche, the 16-year-old daughter of Raymond and Ginger Poche is a junior at Lutcher High School. Poche also won the Fashion Award.  
Other winners in the teen division were Hailey Detillier, First Maid; Heather Roussel, Second Maid; Kamryn Deslattes, third maid and Teen Sparkler Award; Alyssa Gaudet, Photogenic Award; and Abbie Duhe, People’s Choice Award.   
Dufresne and Poche will be traveling across the great state of Louisiana for the next year representing the Festival of the Bonfires and the unique tradition. They will also reign over this weekends Festival of the Bonfires.
