Helena M. August, 70, a native of Luling and resident of Edgard, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at 3:24 p.m. in Luling.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Felicia August, son, Damian August, grandchildren, Johnathan, Antoinette Gabrielle, Jasmine, James, Donté, Dé Ontae, Damian Jr., Najayla and Damarya, brothers, Joseph and Phillip Markey, and sisters, Antoinette, Sylvia, Joan and Elaine Markey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand August, parents, Joseph and Helen Markey, and daughter, Gale August.
