Girl Scouts Louisiana East has appointed Pam Hutchinson as ch-ief development officer.
Hutchinson, a resident of Baton Rouge, brings more than 30 years of experience in fundraising, public relations, and advocacy to the local council which serves 23 parishes of southeast Louisiana.
“With her strong background in board development and relationship building, Pam is an outstanding addition to our fund development and leadership teams,” said Jackie Alexander, chief executive officer.
Hutchinson is no stranger to Girl Scouts, having served on the board of directors at the legacy Girl Scouts Audubon council in Baton Rouge, in addition to volunteering on the boards at St. Joseph Academy, Academic Distinction Fund of Baton Rouge, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School, YWCA of Baton Rouge, and others.
She has held various leadership positions on the Louisiana Public Facilities Authority, Louisiana Department of Social Services, Louisiana Department of Revenue and Bank One, and is well-known in political circles at the state capitol.
